Social WiFi is an idea created and developed by Artur Racicki – CEO (Economist, MBA) and Tomasz Wysocki CTO (IT, Polish Champion in Programming).
Social WiFi was set up in March 2013. The company’s launch was preceded by intensive development work and research on the Polish market, which resulted in the creation of the platform and service. From the very beginning it was clear that the idea is extremely scalable, thus Social WiFi was created with the global market in perspective.
With the global expansion in mind, in June and July we commissioned market research in 21 countries around the world (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia, and Israel). It was conducted by the research company Conquest. On the basis of its results, two markets were selected (UK and Germany) to carry out in-depth qualitative research, which resulted in further development work, forging cooperation with partners in Germany and the start of sales there in November 2013.
Since May 2014 we are present on US market.
